Detailed here, as well as some potential future story lines. So spoiler alert, I guess.

Be interesting to see if the show treats T-Dog as Tyreese and Michonne hooks up with him.

Nothing says "awesome" like blowjobs during the zombie apocalypse.

In other news, I am still a little frustrated with the notion that all the characters are unbelievable marksmen at this point in their development. I understand that this is just an element that viewers are expected to accept in most zombie stories, but headshot after headshot while bouncing around in an old Ford pickup? Come on.

I wouldn't think it changes too much with the ultimate goal of staying alive, but now that takes on a whole new meaning. "I don't want to die so I turn into one of them".

Does the group now focus primarily on finding a cure? If so, they are basically searching for a cure to help you stay dead... which is fucked up.

they're never going to look for a cure. I mean, how would they? They already took one half assed stab at that by going to the CDC and look how that turned out. Even if they wanted to, where/how would they look?

I agree that the revealation doesn't really change anything. Not sure why AMC chose to make such a big deal out of something that is treated pretty innocuously in the book.

It's important from a psychological perspective in that they think they are protecting themselves from something that quite likely will happen to them no matter what they do.

Their only escape from it is to commit suicide or hope that they luckily die from a brain shot. It would be enough to make some people give up the fight.

Watched it today....

Pretty good, almost like the producers took all the money they saved from the lame ass first half of the season and blew the whole wad on the final epsd.

Lori - Fuck you. She needs to die, she needs to be eaten or have someone shoot her. Brings nothing to the group. As a poster noted earlier she is all up in Ricks mind telling him to off Shane because he is a danger to the group and will try to forcefully oust Rick....now she is all broken up and pissed off at Rick even though Rick had no choice and it was actually Shane that tried to kill him using an elaborate scheme...a scheme that was found out by Daryl. So what is the fucking big deal? I was just hoping, praying and wishing a pack of zombies would tear her to shreds....much like that idiot who left the RV door open and got smoked.

Carl is still a huge whiny, no good jerk-off kid. I finally think he is going to grow and become somewhat palatable and he looses it on the highway.

Andrea became less annoying the last few episodes mainly because she didn't get a chance to talk all that much. To be fair she was Shanes sympathetic groupie and at least she called out Lori for being a piece of crap.

And as a warning to all involved in a possible zombie apocalypse....please remember that if you park a car/RV next to a giant pack of zombies you need to remember to:

A.) Keep the door closed
B.)If the door is closed remember to lock it securely.

Overall I'm stoked for the next season but I have a feeling it will be uneven just like season 2.

I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised. The prison storyline is far and away the best part of the books and its not even close. It blows everything else away. And it should easily last the entire season.

the real question is what are they going to do after the prison? The book sputtered along for a about 3 years after they left the prison and only in the past couple comics has the story become really interesting again.

Ok serious question here. Does anyone know where I can watch the eppisodes without having to buy season one. I'm pretty sure season 2 is on demand still and I could probably catch up on the reruns. I don't want to have to buy the first season without actually watching any of the show first. I checked the website on AMC and the eppisodes aren't on there. Any help will be appreciated.

The way this show paces each episode, the Prison could last for 2 seasons. But i think next season there are 16 episodes. Would make for a nice complete Prison arc.

Good question on post-prison. The comics really dragged. Plus, the comic gets REALLY dark post prison. I can't imagine AMC greenlighting some of the comic subplots.

It seemed like Kirkland had no idea where he wanted to go with things (still think he is stuck). I'm like 2 comics behind, so hopefully things are starting to get moving.

A couple other things that bother me about the plot:

1) As was shown in the final episode of the season, the zombie horde was triggered to change direction by a heliocopter flying overhead. They changed direction once again toward the farm when they heard a single gunshot by Carl to take down walker-Shane.

What the hell happened when everyone was out taking target practice early in the farm subplot? Are we just to assume that the zombies hadn't made it there yet? What about the walkers in the barn? Surely they would have started a moaning ruckus after hearing the gunshots.

2) When the group returned to the interstate after they lost the farm, they walked by a few cars that still had corpses hanging out of the windows. If everyone is already infected, why hadn't those corpses reanimated?

stabbed or shot in the brain - they wouldn't reanimate then.

And as to 1) , yes the horde was still in Atlanta at the time.

'Zombies follow and mimic each other, which can result in enormous herds traveling together, "walking nonstop, following a sound they've all forgotten," as Abraham put it.'

Hell yeah!

And the actress playing Michonne looks spot on.

seriously? That's the governor? Polar opposite to how he looks in the comics. Surprising considering the care they've taken to make the other characters all resemble their comic counterparts.

This guy must've really nailed it in the auditions to land the part despite looking like that.

Out of curiosity, what is he like in the comics?
