That’s a movie of his I’ve always meant to see.

It got nothing but good reviews.

Unfortunately, Amazon dropped the ball promoting it for awards season.

I read that bothered Hill a lot.

And the award for best stuttering nerdy chubby dork in a direct to video crapfest goes to....Jonah Hill.

I don’t think that’s an accurate interpretation.

Here’s the trailer

This will be the biggest film about a band with no hits since Spinal Tap.

I completely understand the Grateful Dead weren't / aren't for everyone.

I don't think Jonah Hill is anything special of an actor, but to play Jerry Garcia....fine with me.

I'm very very very very very excited to see this.

Thets a bad take but i dont really need him to be funny in this role.

Hes a great actor. I trust him with this. You and Antioch seem to have a Ryan Pace level of talent evaluation when it comes to actors.

No accounting for taste I suppose.

Watch Moneyball and Wolf of Wall St and tell me hes not great in those roles.

By all accounts he takes his craft seriously, which is what you need for a role like this. I like the castingC think it will be interesting. And if its a disaster im obviously gonna say it was awesome anyway.

I mean he’s not great in either, so not sure how that supports your POV.

I’d argue his best role was the waiter in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and he had like 5 minutes of screen time.

He’s not cut out for a lead role unless it’s assumed the audience is so high they have no idea what they’re watching.

Well, this is a movie about the Grateful Dead...
