I got nothing against Jerri, I actually think she's become likable which is an amazing climb for her considering how unlikable she used to be. I just think she's a terrible player. She's not perceptive and good in social situations, she's not forward thinking when it comes to strategy. And honestly, I don't think she really cares that much about winning or even doing that well. Nothing against her, I just think she's kinda over the whole Survivor thing.

Tom definitely won a bunch of immunities. I was talking more about the social aspect of the game where he just floated by on his firefighter post 9/11 image and never had to do any work in the outwit portion of the game. You could argue that a lot of the heroes fall in this catergory as well which probably goes a long way towards answering whey they're getting their ass kicked so much. The villains all became villains by making big moves and playing the game hard. No villains ever floated by in this game.

no for sure, that's why i said, the villains have been unfairly painted as evil whereas really they are basically the better *players*.

i can see what you're saying about jerri, and i think perhaps maybe she's lived off her rep as being "black widow" more than she's deserved. i just have thought this season she's done pretty good in what i've seen.

i think some of the villains have rightfully earned their place but guys like rob...no. they're not villains. they are the epitome of what survivor is all about.

thank god they didn't bring brian back. what a douche. heh.

Survivor is so rigged, at least parts.

Tom plays the immunity idol and the votes go

Tom - Tom - Tom - Colby - Colby - Cerrie - Cerrie - Cerrie

Right.

They have always arranged the order the votes are shown to create the most suspense. I don't view this as "rigging", as much as good production values. It is afterall, a tv show.

This was explained to you the last time you brought it up.

Get some new material.

jesus christ i can't believe tyson pulled that weak tot action. he totally fugged it up. i really wanted parvati gone but russell did exactly the right thing.

it's amazing watching these two. they know exactly what each other's going to do it seems. i would love to see these two in the finals but i don't think that'll happen.

james probably should've stayed in over colby; colby has completely lost it.

does amanda EVER stop crying?

Ballsy move by Russell. That was a bit of a surprise.

Russel is a golden god! Tyson is a fucking moron.

Did you guys catch the editing clue during tribal council? When Jeff was asking Colby about being add odds with his tribe at every tribal the did a quick cut to Russel who all of the sudden had a bit of a raised eyebrow ah-hah reaction. Look for a Colby-Russel alliance after the merge.

Great move. He knew it was going to be him or Pavarti, and he outsmarted Boston Rob. The target was already on his back coming in to Tribal Counsel. It's still there, but now there's one less person to go against him.

Tyson is a complete idiot. Rob had the perfect plan, and Tyson got sucked into trusting Russell.

Rob vs. Russell is going to be fun. I hope they both stick around awhile, although I fear one of them leaves soon.

Russell still has the numbers against him with Coach appearing to still be in Rob's pocket

Too early for a merge? What are the tribes numbers usually like when they do that?

Actually, as long as they merge really soon, Russel is in a much better position than Rob. Rob is the leader of the dominant alliance heading into the merge. That's a HORRIBLE position to be in because once you get to the merge you no longer have the numbers advantage and the smaller alliances can now band together to get rid of the common threat dominant alliance.

As was subtly hinted at last night, look for Russell to target Colby for defection at the merge.

We're down to what, 13, people now? When does the merge typically happen?

Rob is definitely the leader, but he's a liked leader - he doesn't seem to rub anyone the wrong way outside of Russell. People gravitate to Rob - you may very well end up being right, and I would agree that Russell needs more options. He has to hold on until he has more options to form an alliance on so adding people from the other tribe can only help him, but it will be interesting to see if he can survive with Rob gunning for him.

Merge usually happens around 10 depending on how many people are going to be in the finals.

I guess either way there will probably be another tribal or two before the merge. My guess is, the villains win at least one more for sure and Candice goes home. They started laying the groundwork for that last night with comments about not trusting her. And then maybe the merge or maybe the heroes win one and somehow Russel avoids the chopping block, maybe by picking up another hidden idol?

Either way, at this point I would expect both Colby and Russell to make it to the merge. Or I could be reading too much into the editing, but after all these years if there's one thing I learned is to trust the editing clues.

I don't understand the dislike for Parvati. As least she has a personality. There's a few other completely useless people like Jerri & Sandra.

Tyson - completed screwed himself then said during the exit video "Its ok, I still rule". What a dork.

James must have been more hurt then the show led us to believe since everyone voted for him.

What are the odds Russell finds another idol this week?

I'm surprised I'm the first one to comment on last night's episode. I thought it was very entertaining.

Boston Rob and Russell should get their own show. It was fun watching those guys match wits. I even have to admit that I saw Coach's point in wanting to get rid of Courtney instead of Rob. She sucks. But there was too much acrimony between Russell and Rob for them to ever coexist peacefully, though it would've made them a stronger tribe for challenge purposes to keep both of those guys.

Loved Rob's line to Coach, "You're a little man." Good stuff.

Rob knew he was done when Russell outwitted Tyson.

But, Russell might have screwed himself getting rid of Rob a little too early. His tribe looks to be out of control. If they merge soon, he will be ok, but if they don't, the others could easily conspire to get rid of Russell next.

Coach showed just what kind of "honorable" man he is by voting Courtney when he knew it didn't make a damn bit of difference. If you're going to stab your alliance in the back, at least have the balls to vote for Rob.

I lost some desire to keep watching this season, partly because I liked Rob, but mostly because I can't stand Russell. He may be a good player, but that doesn't mean he's fun to watch.

Coach is an idiot. His word is toast.

Sad to see Rob go so soon, I wanted to see him and Russ battle it out.

That sucked, didn't want to see my all time two favorites go at it like that, knowing that one would be gone from the game for good.

WZ, still think highly of Jerri? She proved yet again why she is one of the biggest idiots to ever play this game.

Coach showed the type of predictable spineless behavior that he is known for so no surprise there.

If coach has half a brain, he'd get Jerry, Sondra, and Courtney with him and vote out Russell.

why would those girls leave Russel to team up with Coach? Russel has proven that he is a guy you can hitch your wagon to and he can take you places in the game, even against great numerical odds. The only thing Coach has proven is that he has no spine, is incapable of making a strategic decision, and is easily persuaded by people. Not exactly the horse I would want to hitch my wagon to.

I'm talking about the two that were with Rob, along with Jerry. The two that were with Rob have to know that they are toast. It would be easy to get them to kick off Russell.

Oh yeah, you're right. But, then again, as you stated this requires Coach to have half a brain.

A more likely scenario has Russel convincing Jerri to join his 3 and vote out Coach because Coach showed how weak willed he is with his throw away vote for Courtney. Or Russel could mend fences with Cortney and get her to vote out Coach since he threw a vote at her.

basically, it comes down to Russel vs Coach and that's not a very fair fight in the wits matching department.

True. If the girls were smart, they would have teamed up weeks ago. problem is they'd lose all of the challenges.

i can't say that i'll miss the dragonslayer, but he'll have his dramatic day in the spotlight at the end anyway.

i can't believe how lucky russell is. it's unreal--especially if JT actually does give him their immunity idol next week.
