what website was that, CH? i feel like i missed out on that one. damn.

nowadays there is almost too much of a niche for bad movies but one that was so laughably bad it has to be seen to be believed is "alien warrior". it's ridiculously over the top and is explicit...and also tries to have a message. it was also known as "king of the streets". i think it was released in 1986.

another mid-80's hilarious over the top bad action movie is "gymkata".

My first thoughts were "Cry Baby" and "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas". then I remembered it took all of 10 min before giving the Leonardo DiCaprio "Romeo and Juliet" the hook.

I had forgotten about "Drop Dead Fred". That was awful.

All of these are horrible movies, but I'd say the nomination for "Blues Brothers 2000" wins. I've never watched this movie and never will. Everything about even thinking of creating this movie is wrong.

The only movie I have ever walked out on was The Money Pit. My older sister took me when we were kids. Its near impossible to get a young teenager to walk out on a movie, but his did.

Bad movies when viewed at a drive in seem interminable.

Grownups 1 and 2. I didn't see Grownups 2 but I'm going to take a wild guess and say it sucked.

And basically every Adam Sandler movie after Billy Maddison and most of the ones before them as well.

Airheads, Happy Gilmore, and The Wedding Singer were funny. The Waterboy had its moments. Punch Drunk Love was the best Sandler movie, and the last of his that I have seen.

Funny People was great and almost served as an apology for his horrible movies

I wouldn't say it was great. It was good but it just seemed too long to me.

I actually like and watch a lot of his movies, it probably is because I am watching them with a 16 year old, but we enjoy the stupid humor.

No, yes, no. No. Hell no.

IMO Sandler has made exactly 2 movies that weren't shit. BIlly Madison and Happy Gilmore.

RPB will always oversell this movie. the first hour is outstanding. the last 45 minutes are horrendous. the long and winding ending almost completely ruins the experience. and i hate that because i love the beginning. the eminem cameo, the "yo! teach" stuff, the friendship between sandler and rogen, and the comedian stuff is all excellent. the cast is superb. then it falls off the rails when he tries to reconcile with his ex. very disappointed with judd on this one.

oh and the most painful movie i've ever sat through, and i've sat through a lot...is "Things", a Canadian horror "film"...once you get past the hockey hair and low budget novelty it really, really really...sucks. bad.

edit: i mentioned this movie on the first page...and i am mentioning it again. because it sucks that bad.

I agree the second half it falls off and the ridiculousness with the family was baf

When I talk about it, its in the realm of Sandler movies. Compared to Grown Ups or Little Nicky, its fucking brilliant

Also, I dug that he kinda admitted (not that there was any doubt) how he just cashed checks on shitty movies since he got big

It should have ended with him turning on Ira and being a dick to him (just cause not for Leslie Mann) and going on in his lonely rich guy world

And Rza

i don't think putting movies like "funny people" and "punch drunk love" in the category of "sandler" movies is fair to the films respectively. even though i have problems with "funny people" i do think there is some cleverness in it and awareness (like you mentioned about him parodying himself) that is totally lacking in most of sandler's films.

sandler movies are movies in which he actively produces co-writes and stars in. "billy madison" and "happy gilmore" are pretty much the apex. but stuff like "little nicky" and "jack & jill"...they can't be put in the same realm of "funny people".

Punch Drunk Love is definetly not a "Sandler" movie. That clearly was a PTA movie that featured Sandler. The Godfather isn't a Pacino movie. It features him.

My wife was watching "Poseidon" in bed last night and she wouldn't let me turn it off, so I endured the last 40 minutes or so of it.
That movie is pretty fucking brutal.

Once again, "8 Crazy Nights" is the worst movie ever made. There isn't even any realistic debate on this point, if you've seen it. I don't even think there's any way to take any fun-bad enjoyment out of it. It's just torturously obnoxious from start to finish. I wouldn't condone use of the movie for the purposes of interrogations.
