I just did a complete rewatch a couple months ago and it was still great. I may just do it again. This is probably my favorite show ever.

I did the same thing with The Wire when it came out in HD. Also, as Milt Rosenberg would say, eminently rewatchable. It truly is the hallmark of a great series how you can just go back and watch it again and still be riveted despite knowing what ultimately is coming.

I think it has to do with the little details that you don't pay attention to the first time that are so well done in a series like this that add such depth. Some series might have a great main story but all the supporting storylines and details are kind of weak and so you don't really get anything new from watching it again.

I think Mad Men or Sopranos is next on my rewatch list.

Yep...after my re-watch, this is easily the best series ever.

Sopranos was great, but they had a lot of dead space episodes that made no sense. BB was brilliant start to finish.

Finally started season for today. 4 episodes in, and it's heating up. Jesse and Walt beefing with Gus is good. Not a huge Jesse fan, but it's been fun.

Finally wrapped up season 4. I think it was the best season so far. Really enjoyed the Gus character. I could do without Walter Jr., his voice irritates the shit out of me.

Finally wrapped up the series today. Not sure how I feel about the ending. Was pretty surprised with the Hank killing. Was really rooting for Walt Jr. or Skyler to get smoked. Jesse was a little bitch. Was entertaining how Walt went from a scared pussy, to a ruthless bad ass.

Not really. Without Skylar Walt never starts cooking. He just crawls into a corner and dies.

I would suggest The Wire was better on the second watch. You really cant understand who everyone is on the first one.

I think I might rewatch Sopranos. Anything with a huge cast like that is usually re-watchable if only for the reason stated above.

Game of Thrones is probably very re-watchable too.

Gus was the best character on BB

i think out of all the tv shows i've seen the show with the most rewatchability value was the vintage 1960s UK prisoner. that's one hell of a show, definitely not to be confused with the AMC / jesus-caviezel remake.

Mike and Gus definitely the best characters. I think what was great about Mike is he was the first one to really dislike Walt...and he never liked him.

Honorable mention to Tuco....great character but short life on the show.

So I've been rewatching this series from start to finish over the past couple months. Didn't think it was possible, but this show is even better the 2nd time around. Now that i know all the color symbolism its cool to watch the eps with that in mind. Also, knowing how everything will end up...there are so many subtle clues that I didn't notice the first time around.

I got up to Dead Freight last night, I think is ep 5 or 6 of the final season. What an amazing ep to see again. First time through I never noticed the distant faint train whistle at the end of the opening scene with the little kid on the dirt bike. Best part though was seeing the absolute pinacle of Walt and Jesse's relationship/drug empire when Todd tells them that the train caper plan was perfect and that Walt and Jesse thought of everything. Walt and Jesse give each other a smile as if to say, "yea we are pretty fucking awesome, aren't we." Of course as we all know they didn't think of everything and that moment right there was the last time either one of them would smile for the rest of the series. Its all basically downhill from there.

Also really enjoying the demise of Walt. I was a huge fan of him during my first viewing and thought he was a genius building his empire, but what I'm seeing this time is that he's really no different from a lot of criminals in that he lets his ego and hubris get him in trouble and in the end its a series of stupid mistakes that did him in. Getting drunk at Hank's house and pretty much telling Hank that there was probably someone a lot smarter than Gale Boedicker behind the scenes was the one singular event that led to the entire downfall of a meth empire. Before Walt did that, Hank was ready to drop the case. Only after Walt saying that did Hank take a closer look and find the Pullos Hermanos connection.
