Yes, I don't see it ending well for Big Chief Lambreau. Hope I am wrong as he has been a good character.

Yeah, not looking good for him.

Big Chief Lambreau is now on "Person of Interest". He was just introduced as the head of "HR". And that does suck. He is a great character on Treme.

Final season kicks off December 1st. Only 5 episodes to close things out. I am sorry to see this show go
even though not a lot has really happened this last season. I really enjoy the characters and acting. I have
no idea how they will wrap up so many storylines in 5 episodes but really look forward to having a conclusion
to the series. The music has been phenomenal.

I think we're the only people left who are watching this, but I've loved this series.

Yeah, I believe you are right. It's been a very good series in my eyes, it just isn't getting the ratings.

I complained about last season a fair bit on another thread but I still found myself getting a bit excited when I saw the trailer last night. Even though I have some big problems with the writing, there's a certain sense of familiarity and comfort I get from watching this show. Then again, after True Blood and The Newsroom were on last summer, maybe I'm just happy that HBO is back to airing shows I actually watch

Sadly unfortunate but true.

Missed the premiere last night but will catch it tonight. I was able to catch most of the last three episodes
from last season so I feel pretty much caught up with what was going on.

It was kind of an odd opening for what's supposed to be a relatively short final season.

I was going to cancel HBO 2 mos ago, but hung on just for this final season. And unexpected gems like the Sarah Silverman show the other night   .

I couldn't tell if you were being serious about Sarah Silverman. I've always liked her for the most part. I should
check that out if there are some moments worth laughing at.

Despite not generally finding women comics funny, I dvr'd this one after I only caught about 2/3rds of the show.

I don't usually either. I caught Amy Schumer on Comedy Central with the girlfriend and found her to be pretty
funny. I wasn't expecting her to be so crude and politically incorrect. Thanks for the reminder on Silverman.

This is probably a good synopsis of what I saw. We have quite a few things to wrap up and I really don't feel like
they were in much of a hurry to move in that direction. I am a little concerned that is how the series is going to
wrap up in the end or fail to wrap up to be more accurate.

I enjoyed the last episode although as usual we aren't getting a lot of wrap up to our characters stories. I
was sad to see that the Big Chief is likely going to succumb to his cancer. He has probably been my favorite
character in the series. A lot of excellent music in this episode and I was surprised and very happy to see
Corey Glover on stage performing. I loved Living Colour and I recognized his voice right away.

Haven't watched the episode yet. Is he still rocking the body glove these days?

 No, he cut his hair and put on a little weight but sounds really good. Apparently he does some work
in that musical genre now.

Thanks for the heads up on Amy Schumer. Hilarious.

Treme....well I'll wait to post about the final episode.

Anyone else finish up the series? I will refrain from talking about it until I know a few others have seen it. I
may rewatch the last episode.

I saw the final season and most of the rest of the series. I think it was a remarkable show that seems to have been filmed in the tradition of 1930s social realism. It attempted to integrate the aesthetic approach of the documentary with a leftist political agenda, a tactic that sometimes made for uncomfortable, somewhat patronizing dialogue but more frequently resulted in a detailed portrait of the class, racial and cultural tensions that comprise the social life of a great American city lurching into decline under neoliberal rule.

She is funny is one of the strangest ways possible. Not sure if it is that such a twisted mind is inside such a regular looking girl or what. She touches on some really taboo topics and makes them funny/ I generally do not like female comedians, I feel many of them get a pass because they are female, I need to like them to be PC.
