Agree Doc.

Capt. Jack is the star. When he's the focus, the show is infinitely more entertaining.

Dumb question:

Do the people who should have died, like Rex, heal over time? I know he's all "Waaaaaa, do I die when the Miracle is over? Waaaaaaa", but I would think his heart and.......whatever else was punctured should be somewhat healed up by the time this is over...

I don't think so.... one of the abandoned angles/storylines was that over the first few episodes Rex was essentially a pill-popping junkie because the hole in his heart (o metaphor, i shall never forsake thee!) isn't quite healing... there have also been a few token (heh) times every episode or two where rex asks "what happens to me when the miracle is over?"

so evidently either rex exists as a "say no to drugs, kids" element in the show, showing how someone with a perpetual mortal wound can overcome an addiction to painkillers by dealing with perpetual pain, or he IS getting better.... but i'm more inclined to think that the lazy writing staff just forgot about that early angle, and couldn't be arsed to write about it cuz there was SOOOOOOOO MUCH GOING ON during the middle episodes... and now that things are actually happening i don't think they can devote another 5-7 minutes of show to rex's quest to get more painkillers, especially since his firecracker latina doctor lady sleeps with the auschwitz crowd these days.

FORMALLY: WE DON'T KNOW.

INFORMALLY: methinks there's going to be a whole lot of deaths going on, and invariably rex is going to make some sort of "heroic sacrifice" where he does something to end the miracle, resulting in him staring longingly at the torchwood team before dropping dead of his wounds sustained in the first ~5 minutes of episode 1.

And it should happen, soon. I've grown tired of his lame ass. Let's have some more John DeLancie-playing-Rip Torn-role instead. And then force Esther to either contribute to the storyline or take a long walk off a short pier. Or, both.

With only 1 episode left, I really have a "Lost" WTF type feel going on here.

If the Torchwood team ends up in a church with Ianto, Owen, and Toshiko waiting to send them on I'm gonna be pissed.

Well, episode 9 did what it could to set up the penultimate. But I have the feeling it's not a good setup, and plot elements will fall through the cracks.

The cracks in the universe caused by the exploding TARDIS?

oh shit don't spoil me... i'm going to catch a replay in the morning cuz like, at this point i only have interest to see where this great rolling shitball ends up stopping.

the previews last week did their job, as the new doctor who looks to have some promise.... but i'm fairly certain that if given the chance the ponds can ruin everything!@ =D

I won't spoil it. That's why I've been vague.

Doctor Who looks awesome tomorrow. Ponds FTW!

O.K., maybe no church, but that sucked ass. 90% of the storylines didn't even amount to anything? Just dumb.

Yeah it was bad. I seriously went back and started watching from the beginning.

I sense the effect of "many hands" involved in plotting this story.

It was just alright. Not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be.

It was bad. Most of the series seemed like filler.

Worse it wasn't Torchwood.

I'm still watching the old ones on Netflix. Still on season 1. Which is the best season, in you opinion?

I really liked 1 and 2.

3 was a great short season.
