Mullen was a better player than Thomas at the time simple as that. They also had Magic and Stockton who were far better PGs than Isaiah

Thomas' douchery caught up with him and he was the one to be frozen out. Good call imo

Kevin Johnson was also a better PG than Isiah at that time.

100% agreed. KJ had about a 4 year stretch where he was probably the second best point guard in the league behind Stockton. I'd say between 1991 and 1995.

Funny you should bring him up. He's another one that was better than Mullin

KJ was one of the two best PG's in the league alongside Stockton. If you want to make the argument that he should've been selected ahead of Magic, good luck with that.

Mullin was one of the top 2 SFs in the league along with being one of the best shooters in the league which is why he was a no brainer choice.

Not sure why this so hard for you to understand? Could it be this has something to do with your inner hatred of white athletes and entertainers as evidenced by your constant yearning for acceptance as some sort of urban culturist, i.e. pseudo brother?

I can't think of any other reason to try and discredit Mullin who is in the HOF and is considered on of the elite players on the early 90s.

You dont know what you're talking about as per usual.

Isiah Thomas was a better basketball player than Chris Mullin. Its that simple.

If you disagree, you're a moron and dont know basketball.

I have not discredited Mullin. Saying he was top 20 but not top 12 is not discrediting him.

If there is any racial bias here, it lies with you.

Plus, I have a TON of white friends

My favorite artist/band of all time is U2. My favorite entertainer is Jim Rome.

Im soooooooo black

But of course if you like hip hop = you wish to be black

BTW, no one has spent more time here fighting for white athletes to get recognition and not to be dismissed

You were more wrong than usual in this post

I supplied proof that Mullin in 1991-1992 was a better player than Isiah, you've provided nothing.

Just accept the fact that you hate white athletes, its pretty obvious and has been for a long time.

FYI, saying that Muillin, a player who was all NBA 2nd team, was a top 20 player, not top 12 is as blatant an attempt at discreditiing him as you can get.

That's what all racists say.

Plus, the U2 argument doesn't help you, everyone knows the Irish are the blacks of Europe. (cite: The Replacements).

Your favorite entertainer being Jim Rome doesn't make you racist, it just makes you tasteless.

I think the last phrase anyone would ever use to describe Stockton is "slow witted".

You're an idiot

The team was not picked by that season alone, if it were Bird and Magic wouldnt be there. So your dumbass focus on that year alone is completely irrelevant.

You couldnt be more wrong. Id say the B and B fans would disagree with you on my opinion of white athletes.

I appreciate that you are a very racist person, its just has nothing to do with this.

Top 20 player of an era = discrediting

You are a moron.

And if the stuff you write here about your life is true, you are way more "urban" than I am.

This RPB/Shakes rivalry is like Jordan Vs. Ehlo.

More time should be spent arguing the "Dominique would've made it over Pippen" statement.
That's borderline crazy. Remember that one time when Dominique played defense?

Yeah. Me neither.

Anyone with half a brain knows that Bird and to a lesser extent Magic were chosen solely for their international popularity and what they meant to the game. It could be argued taht magic deserved to be there regardless due to his role as one of the best pass first PGs in the game, even at his advanced age.

The other players on the team were selected because they were the best in the game at the time the team was selected, i.e. 1991-1992.

Still waiting for you to supply ANY proof that Isiah was a better player than Mullin at that time...other than your repeated "you're a moron" arguement which is quite convincing.

Forget Isiah, who are the other 8 or 9 guys in the league he thinks are better than Chris Mullin was?

I mean besides the dream team. He said Mullin was top 20. So you have the 11 guys on the Dream Team (10 if you don't count Laettner) that aren't Mullin and then 8-9 others. Who are the others?

I don't get this Mullin versus Thomas thing. They don't play the same position. That team wouldn't need 3 point guards with the other players that could fill that role if necessary...Pippen, Jordan, Drexler.

Ewing could have ran the point and they still would have won the gold.

True, but not necessarily a balanced team. It's clear that your logic could be applied to every position on the court with the talent assembled. I think they were going to assemble a strong team with standard position players.

I didnt think there was any debate as to who had the better career between Thomas and Mullin or I would have brought forth an argument.

So Shakes you are using single year stats for Mullin but career for Magic Bird?

Ok. I thought the idea was to put together the best players from that Era 88-92

BC and Shakes, who do you think was the worst of the NBA 11? Who would you take off? Someone other than Mullin?

The 10 guys on the dream team
Isiah Thomas
Kevin Johnson
Hakeem
Dominique
Worthy
Dumars
Petrovic
Dennis Rodman
Mitch Richmond
Chris Mullin

Come on now, you don't really have all those guys ahead of Mullin? At the very least he has to be around the Worthy spot on that list
