Go see Magic Mike. Olivia Munn is naked in that.

Might have been my favorite episode thus far. Really enjoyed the portrayal of how everyone on the team learned about us getting Bin Laden.

Wasted Will was a treat...I'm sure someone will dig up the episode where Bartlet is bombed out of his ass on painkillers but this was special in it's own way.

Also really liked the stuff on the airplane.

Only thing I could have done without is the uncomfortable sing along with Will and Jim on guitars...that was...bad.

See I think this episode was so campy and just over the top. All the stuff on the plane was annoying - you are a news producer not some national hero, no need to act like it was a matter of life or death for you to get off the plane. I mean there are other reporters/producers/anchors working when you aren't buddy.

The guitar scene was really bad. But drugged up Will was entertaining.

I want to like this show so much but it seems for every really good episode the next one is equally bad. More Olivia Munn is definitely needed.

Does anyone know how Fox has reacted to this? They KILL Fox at least once on every episode. Geraldo scooping the other news channels reporting the killing of Gaddafi was hilarious. I just dont know how Fox can respond being that its actually what Fox reported.

Fast dialogue.

That's the one way to describe this show. Everybody in this show has a quick, intelligent, witty response to every question, dilema or problem. That's the way they write this show.

I don't like that one girl's character. She's worried about everything. She goes from worrying about the news to worrying about who is banging whom in a blink of an eye.

It's entertaining overall. I think they touch on a lot of realistic aspects of news media. I'll keep watching.

And is there any hope we will see one of the 3 girls at least t0pless tonight?

Yes.

HBO does sexual tension well in their shows. They always give a payoff. We'll the 3 newsroom girls naked before the season ends.

So that's his style? What else has he done? I watch very few shows and don't really look into who directs and/or writes it.

West Wing was his biggie. Another fairly short lived series called Sports Night. Wrote American President and A Few Good Men.

I've only seen A few good men of those you listed. That was a very tight movie. Much like this show. They cover a lot in a short period of time. No drawn out or wasted scenes.

I'll take it back.

I think we'll only see the "money honey" naked. Not the other two girls. The "money honey" seems like an actress that would be up for it. I get that vibe from her. She wants to show off her body. I don't think the other two would agree to it. We'll see them banging, but we won't get a naked shot.

Oliva Munn was already naked in Magic Mike I guess. Hopefully the red head takes it off

I didn't know that until you mentioned it. Had no idea who she was. I give myself credit for having that vibe about her. I can pick 'em out. I'm sure that's why she got hired for this show. So we'll get it.

I lament the cancellation of that show to this very day.

Just found that both seasons of Sports Night can be streamed on Netflix. That is all.

Enjoyed last night's episode and am already on pins and needles to see how the season will finish next Sunday...seeing as we got the little snipped of Leona telling Will he's fired.

Was really glad they had the RNC guy turn down the new debate format. The "no rules" debate in West Wing was a pipe dream, even for Sorkin, so to see the guy flat out say no was a welcome change. Also always nice to see Alan Arkin.

I'm convinced the guy trying to do a trolling story is someone here.

I thought it was clear they wouldn't get the debate weeks ago since they aren't using fictional politicians. Will won't be fired.

The reporter guy was 100% right in his assessment of that debate. I had said as much to my wife right before that - it was completely a showcase for Will to show how smart he is. That type of questioning is just taking campaign hyperbole and trying to apply a literal meaning to it from the sound of it.

They could have gotten the debate without actually showing it, no?

I'm with you that he won't get fired. Guessing immediately after she says he's fired, my favorite drunk TV newsman drops the bomb about the whistleblower guy and gets her to back the fuck off.

So now that I typed that, I hope they have some better way of resolving that.

I would agree with that to an extent, but it would be nice to see politicians have to answer to some of the absurd bullshit they say on the trail from time to time.

"Tell me Ms. Bachmann, what does God's voice sound like?"

I had no problem with it. Tim Russert would do that at times on Meet the Press. Problem is I don't think many journalist are that informed on the issues and what the candidates have previously said to do it. I would love to see presidential debates like that. It would eliminate a lot of bullshit. Of course the delivery of the questions would need to be less controversial.

True. I just thought that was unlikely. IMO it would have been too big a deal NOT to show.

Or he's probably dreaming.

Looking forward to the final episode.

Also,

If Jim would rather be with the blonde than the brunette, he's out of his fucking mind.

Physically that's true but I don't think that's his attraction to her.

The Onion's AV Club's TV Club (breathe) does really good reviews of this show. The grades are shit, though I suppose that's redundant.
