Because

Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
the Waterboy
Big Daddy
The Wedding Singer
5o first dates
Lomgest yard
Grown Ups

Not telling you these are good movies, telling you they made money.

If it wasnt for Grownups, the most recent would be 10+ years ago and that was the remake of the longest yards.

If you can get a movie TNT loves, you can make some real money on it, because they just keep paying you every week to show something like Die Hard.

Actually liked some scenes in FUNNY PEOPLE, pretty sure that didnt bank anything.

I liked Funny People a lot and considered it his apology to fans of the first few movies.

Pretty sure this guy is money making machine for Hollywood though. I think even the worst of his movies do well at the box office with families.

Grown Ups 1 & 2 were terrible but I actually liked the Longest Yard remake.

His latest is free on Netflix,so it can't hurt to give it a shot.

Didnt even see Grown Ups 2 on cable, but you know when they go quickly to a number 2, the first one cashed in and they just want more rhe same thing.

MOVIE STUDIO "hey Sandler, can you call Rock, Spade and that gross little other guy you do movies with and whip something up for around $25 mill?"

SANDLER "Sure thing CEO of movie studio guy, how about we email you the script in about 2 hours?"

<Click>

Sandler to Spade "Dude, do you have any of that purple sticky left? Cool, call the guys tell everyone to come over, we need to write a movie this afternoon!"

Spade "Should I call Schneider? "

Sandler "Nah, we will just write him in to some part and get him like $100K"

All of them are awful. Pixels just look terrible from the get-go.

Yup. he hits on like 1/4 movies but all of those movies are good and worth watching and rewatching.

He seems pretty lazy recently though. I guess when you have more money than you ever need though and then Netflix gives you even more that can happen.

The Wedding Singer and Happy Gilmore are hilarious. Billy Madison and The Waterboy have their moments. The rest suck. Well, at least the ones that I have seen suck. I stopped watching his movies years ago. For some reason, his movies make $100 million or more at the box office, which is the simple answer as to why Hollywood keeps giving him money. Punch Drunk Love was the best Sandler movie.

This is truth. Almost a new genre of movie: direct-to-rerun-channel.
