What influence?

We get more entertainment with Marvel, Hulu is going to compete with Netflix. I don't see the downside.

I guess Episode IX will have the Alfred Newman Fox Fanfare before the opening crawl then. John Williams intentionally wrote the Star Wars main theme to be in the same key as that fanfare.

Also, does this deal give Disney distribution rights to the Original Trilogy? if so, then gives us the damn HD upscale of the theatrical versions of those films. Not the fucking George Lucas special editions. That man spent the entire 90s and 00's fucking ruining his one good creation.

Yes, but there is a clear difference in Fox and Disney Marvel. Disney Marvel is running into issues of redundancy. Fox is trying new things with their comic book properties. I will say I am excited for these rumors im reading that involve Wolverine making a cameo in Avengers 4. It's also cool to read the proposed idea that Disney will still let Fox make R rated films, but only using the Fox logo.

I agree with the types of things happening. Maybe we get more with FF4 and X-Men/Deadpool coming over. I want them to use the word "Mutant". I fear that we are getting over-saturated with comic book films, but I am really not watching the tv stuff. I tried Shield for a few episodes, and I wasn't interested. Inhumans was inhumane to watch.

From what I remember reading a couple years back, Disney had the distribution rights to Episodes 5 & 6 already because they previously belonged to LucasFilm. Fox retained Episode 4 distribution because they probably wanted to hold onto that piece for as long as they could milk it. But that obviously will now be shifting to Disney. So yes, an original theatrical version box set on blu-ray or 4K would be awesome to have.

Huge Jackedman said he won't be returning as Wolverine when Disney acquires Fox.

Wants to give a new actor a chance at the role.

I think that's probably for the best.

Maybe after Infinity War is done, they recast all the major players and can do a soft reboot.

They can do 2 things. Run some type of storyline where Professor X erased everyone memory kind of thing, or reboot everything now.

Also, didn't realize some German company owns the rights to Fantastic 4. Wonder how that will work.

I am sure a certain amount of money would change his mind.

I think they'd do like they did with many of the characters in the comics and hand the reins over to younger people. Iron Man passed the suit off to a young woman, Spider-Man was a Mexican teenager for a while, Thor was a woman, Hulk is Amadeus Cho now, etc.

You could have the main actors involved for cameos and stuff but give different actors the main roles.

Didn't the Comicsexplained guy on YouTube suggest the Professor X mind wipe theory this past week?

Sounds about right. I am not sure how you reboot just Wolverine and it fits into everything. The X-Men work because of Wolverine. The thing is, I am pretty sure Jackman said he would work on Deadpool.
