Stumbled on this ondemand, looked on RT and saw it had 100% rating so figured screw it, I'm game for a Japanese zombie flick.

Turns out its pretty fucking awesome movie. Easily best zombie movie in a very long time, right up there with 28 Days Later. There's a little cheese, but not enough to take away from the amazing action. And some strong characters as I found myself starting to care about what happened to them. Movie employs zombies of the lightning fast variety which I usually don't enjoy as much as the slow zombies, but they did it in a very unique way I've never seen. The way the zombies moved and contorted their bodies was pretty impressive.

Premise is guy and his estranged 10 year old daughter board a train to go see the kid's mom and the zombie outbreak happens. So there's zombies on the train, zombies off the train, people in different cars trying to get from one part of the train to another. And no guns or knives anywhere to be found. Makes it hard to kill zombies. In fact, I don't think a single zombie died in the film which should appease the SJW crowd.

Overall, not a 4 star movie, but for the genre definitely 4 stars.

I hate fast zombies. When the zombies actually start showing up... I'm just going to give up if they are fast.

I agree, not a fan of the fast zombies. Ruins the whole ZA fantasy, makes it pretty much impossible.
