In the most surprising unsurprising news of the day, there is a Hollywood movie in the works based on the Cubs' epic World Series run.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Radar Pictures is developing a film based off "Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages," David Ross' book that's due out in May.

Ross has reportedly partnered with Radar Pictures for the film that will be titled, "Teammate: My Life in Baseball."

Among Radar's current projects is "Jumanji," with Dwyane Johnson and Kevin Hart.

Grandpa Rossy has been busy since retiring last fall. He is currently a member of the Cubs front office while taking a turn on "Dancing with the Stars" and he will be an ESPN baseball analyst when the regular season starts.

Reign Men, CSN's documentary on Game 7, will air March 27 at 9:30 p.m. and is narrated by country music star Brett Eldredge

How is this movie worthy?

Team with massive payroll for years finally does what every other team with massive payroll eventually does, win the World Series.

Not exactly the makings of a Hollywood movie. Despite the years of futility, this is as far from an underdog story as you can get.
