I am currently watching the third episode. I thought it wasn't as bad as people have said...to this point.
However, I guess it is saying something that I'm surfing the bored while watching it.

There are two huge problems. One their fault, the other not so much their fault.
1. I think they wrote the story wrong. Danny is way too naive. He should know that Ward's an asshole. He was an asshole before he left. He would never stop being an asshole.

2. The other three marvel shows were pretty good leading to high expectations that would probably never be reached.

I get the kung fu parody feel. It's a problem with the fighting/training everything feels too slow with the fighting.

Yeah the action is laughable at times and it does feel like homogenized Kung fu.

The actor playing Danny is bad too. One dimensional.

That said I agree with Cory that it isn't "17% approval on Rotten Tomatoes" bad.

And it is tough knowing this is he last individual series before we get The Defenders.

Hopefully it finishes strong.

I don't know if he is a bad actor or if it is a directorial choice to have him play so weirdly innocent and naive. Either way it is a problem.

I'm not surprised they missed the boat on this. IMO, they've been teetering the line between good and bad tv with most of the Netflix marvel offerings. Jessica Jones was the only one that I would consider to be great. Luke Cage was pretty good I guess. DD1 was nothing special. DD2 I enjoyed because of all the characters that joined the cast which helped keep the spotlight off the terrible main characters including Matt Murdock, his fat friend and the blond bitch who never stops crying.

It's definitely the worst of the 4 but it isn't awful.

The acting (maybe as a result of the writing) is bad at times but it's still a decent story. At least through 10 episodes.

Netflix will be cancelled shortly. I can never find anything to watch and hate the Marvel attempts.

Finished it up. It got better but not by much.

Kind of sets up for a season 2 but who knows.
