Seen this movie at least 20 times, and I love it more every time. I don't think it ever got its due. It's a classic.

i absolutely loathed it when it came out, but over time i've dulled. it's a shit movie but it has some really interesting scenes.

it makes the fatal mistake of picking a useless camera operator, like TJ miller, trying to pass him off as a best friend. no one would want to be this guy's best friend, ever.

i think the two scenes that stuck out for me were the scene in the helicopter where you first see her in all her glory; then, at the very end, when it's face to face with the camera (but did the creature shrink or something?)

"10 cloverfield lane" is a far superior movie sharing the title.

I hate it when you're wrong. The first person camera did a great job of making it real, and some of the scenes were startling... looked like scenes from 9/11. Hud was the camera operator because he was endearing and was the only one you wouldn't want to die. And the best scene was when they were running down the street and the monster steps out from between two buildings. Then the military starts hammering the fucking thing with tanks and rocket launchers.

I wanted Hud to die the moment he started talking.

And he stuck out like a sore thumb compared to his modeling school friends.

There was nothing real about it. It was as staged as any Hollywood monster movie.

Maybe they were childhood friends. Lizzy Kaplan is believably hot.

Use your imagination a little.

Reminded me of Mathew Broderick's Godzilla. Nothing memorable but I am a sucker for point of view perspective movies
