New TV show coming soon to Spike tv. I enjoyed the movie, so maybe I'll give this a shot. Looks halfway decent.

I can't click on link because I'm at work. Is this the one based on the Stephen King book? That was a great book.

Yes, LoL, my bad. It's an adaptation of the book by Stephen King.

SWEET.

The Mist was another underrated movie. This could be good, but they needed to get Marcia Gay-Harden.

Nice. Thanks. This could be very good. Agree with leash - the movie was very good.

If I remember correctly - In the book, the main character sleeps with the supermarket girl in the back storeroom. They are caught by the religious zealot and she goes bonkers.

In the movie, they didn't actually sleep together but are witnessed kissing/flirting by the religious lady (Marcia Gay Harden's character). Thus adding to her active crusade against sin, end of days, etc?

Not exactly sure, it was a while ago since I saw the movie but I remember her stirring up people in the store to a crazed state.

I read that book way back in 1985... not '83.

The first two seasons of Fargo were good but I don't think I like the idea of turning good movies into TV shows. Can't come up with an original idea?

this is a concept that could work as a mini series, but it could really get squeezed by the 2nd season (should it go that far). something like 8-10 parts. the movie had an absurd 2nd act that really should've been rewritten before it went to screen. the ending is one of the most balls to the wall i've seen in a long time--don't think the series will try and recreate that.

there are some things to explore, though, like the other dimension. and why the military experiment went wrong.

tough to know how well this is pulled off being broadcast on a channel like spike.

If it goes on to season two I see it like a grandiose version of stranger things ending and where they likely pick up season two.
