Awesome. This reignites the franchise with hopefully more future installments.

I hope they cast the same guys who played Tony's Dad and Uncle Jr. during the show. The second set of actors. But maybe they're too old now to play the parts.

Yeah, that was good casting.

How does that compare to Flor de Cana 12 or mount gay extra old?

But I’ll be looking forward to the movie.

Good to know. Was following brother’s advice as he likes rum and while I enjoy the Caña a lot I’m all about trying new things bill put it on list.

This show should end with Junior telling a chubby 7 year old Tony that he'll never be a Varsity Athlete.

I always wondered about that statement by Junior.

I'm rewatching the series and there is a scene in the basement of Olivia's house with Tony and Janice.

After Olivia died, Janice is going through stuff and finds Tony's book report about "Fear Strikes Out" by Jimmy Piersall and his varsity letter with a football pin. An actual piece of history depicting Tony's first "middle finger" to Junior? David Chase is famous for those subtle little messages.

Olivia didn't save anything from Janice or Barbara - only Tony.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the prequel movie.

Without Gandolfini the magic of this franchise will be lost.

I dunno. The magic of the original series was the strong supporting cast around Tony. Hopefully they can put together another strong ensemble of great characters

Even if Gandolfini was still alive, I doubt he would even be involved with a prequel anyway.

if they're doing a prequel i doubt any of the old cast will be in. Since they're old.

James Gandolfini's son will play young Tony Soprano in the movie.

I'll be anxiously awaiting this one. Prequel is the only option....also glad it's a movie, For as great as the show was, it was drawn out too long...lots of hole sin the seasons 5 and 6.

Looking again at the supposed plot it should be pretty charged racially given the time it is set in and current trends.

I'll watch this and then watch The Sopranos for the first time so I see it in order.
