I missed this one when it came out in the theater, but watched it the last two days. If you are looking for a suspenseful treasure hunting submarine film, this one is pretty good. I think it's Jude Law's best film. He should have received an Oscar nomination for it. I came away from the film with the impression that Law is a better actor than Leonardo.

Won't ruin the plot details for anyone, but I would recommend it.

I'm on the lookout for a suspenseful treasure hunting spaceship film at the moment.

That actually is not a bad concept for a film at all. Write the script.

But you would have to define what "treasure" would be in space and why anyone would be after it. In the Star Trek universe, there's virtually no emphasis on money at all, other than in the Tribbles episode. The Federation and Star Fleet are basically communist.

A space version of Quint should be in the movie. "Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies . . ."
