I will watch it because it is a comic book movie, but I do not have high hopes.

I am pretty sure this is the end, and Disney will recast them. There is also another comic book movie they were working on. They turned it into a horror movie.

Yeah, New Mutants was always planned to be made as a horror movie. They did massive reshoots for it tho, and removed Jon Hamm as Mr. Sinister in a post credits scene. That kind of sucks.

it still irks me that mystique is all of sudden like, the main X Men just because Jennifer Lawrence's star power happened to get so massive. her first x men movie, she was a nobody. then they had to re shoot a whole bunch in the next one to add more of her since she got so famous in between. her character is barely important

X-Men is the only comic media I ever really got into. When I was a kid, I remember checking out some sort of X-Men novel adaptation from my library that was a bit more adult than I would have expected at that age, which is to say they used bad words, which thrilled me a little. I think part of it was an origin story for, like, Sunfire and Nighthawk and some of those first wave of new X-Men. I don't know the name of it because it hasn't crossed my mind since 1996, but now I want to find out what that book was called.

I will 100% watch it, I think Disney probably somewhat did something with the reshoots, so this wouldn't be a hit or a continuation.

I am going to guess, if the merger happens soon(like it should), that we will see Galactus as the next bad guy and the F4 in a cameo role in Avengers post credit. I think they are going to give X-men some time off to reset things.

Fassbender, McAvoy, and Hoult all do their characters justice.

Quicksilver is a fan favorite, and I think the Storm actress has potential.

The writing for Jennifer Lawrence’s character just took a nosedive in X men Apocalypse tho. Her lack of effort was pretty apparent as well.

At least we have X2 and DOFP to hang our hats on as fans before everything is rebooted by Disney.

Also, I’m fairly certain Jessica Chastain’s character was supposed to be a Skrull, but then the Captain Marvel script was written and Disney bought Fox. They did massive reshoots to this movie to completely change the third act because the climax battle was too much like a recent MCU movie. I’m going to guess the climax was similar to Captain Marvel.
