I'm not sure what the Hell is the Ovation network,but flipping through channels just in time to catch two guys in powdered wigs,one guy on his knees slurping the other guys crotch. Suddenly a 3rd guy enters the picture with a large sword and slashes the guys penis off,blood squirting everywhere. This is on BASIC CABLE? I'm not sure even if Ovation is a free over the air channel.

Found season one on Netflix. It's pretty good. It's the life of Louis XIV, who built the palace of Versailles. Palace intrigue along with violence and female nudity...a winning combination. Apparently his brother's gay side was encouraged by their mother so he would never be considered a threat to Louis' throne.
