That scene in the trailer with W eating wings and looking like a starry eyed kid is enough to tell me this movie is shit. W's old man was head of the CIA, VP and POTUS. I doubt that W was in awe or hoodwinked by Cheney into letting him take over power. So stupid.

you don't know much about W. even before the "W" movie, which was hardly propaganda against him, there were books written about how W was.

this looks more like a comedy, in the way that McKay made "The Big Short". there will definitely be some bullshit, but Rockwell looks solid as W.

Do you really think he sat at a patio table eating wings with a big goofy grin on his face while Cheney tricked him into giving up the presidency?? You want to make a case that HW and Cheney made a back room deal and HW pushed and directed his son into choosing Cheney, then sure I'll go for that scenario but this just looks like what some dingus wants to believe happened rather than what really did.

As a president. After seeing “W”, I liked him a lot more as a person. Cheney’s the one they make look like a raving megalomaniac. And it wasn’t just that movie that was pushing that.

Obviously. In general, all media (other than Fox News) portrayed them in the same way. At some point, with all public figures, their portrayal becomes the public's truth. It makes it difficult to determine what the reality really is.

Wasn't Bale suppose to portray Dubya in W., before he dropped out?
