I don't really like this faux documentary with the long reenactments thrown in.

I don't quite get what the point is. OK, this group kind of exists. It doesn't seem to affect public policy. Some congressman and senators are a part but they were evangelically inclined when they got into office. These legislators take junkets and appear to be discussing foreign policy along with Jesus but the foreign policy is what is fueling the discussion with leaders (although the group touts it is the message of Jesus), but legislators back channel in this manner all the time.

The only really meaty item is that this group holds a prayer breakfast where most of the people are using the breakfast as a pretense to discuss foreign policy and the Russians specifically targeted it for some hijinks.

I haven't watched it all but it doesn't seem like there is any there there.

I thought it was interesting that they only seem to target evangelical men of faith to be in their group. The only noticeable "ethnic" name was Doyle. Maybe they think the mackerel snappers won't buy into the message that Jesus doesn't need to be read within the context of the rest of the bible. or maybe they think the Catholics already have their own secret society and don't need another
