Watching some old episodes on the YouTube... that was a good show. I also like the commercials.

Chuck Woolery was a great game show host. Sick days in the 80s were the best. Bluh bluh bluh bluh blua blua blua ,that's a stopper.

I always thought they should have to do the same puzzles in the final round.

They did play the same words in the Sprint, the second player just had to clear the first player's time.

Scrabble was one of my favorites on USA as a kid. It has nothing to do with Scrabble but a lot to do with punny crossword clues. To this day I'm rather good at crosswords but terrible at actual Scrabble.

Not in the one I just watched. Those 80s gameshows were great.

My husband has started with the crossword puzzles. I'm terrible at both.
I could sit and do a puzzle or trivia/puzzle for hours though. It's funny how the mind works. All the games I loved to play and wanted to share with my kids they had no interest in.

The version I remember from USA was crossword, four-word Sprint counting up, crossword, same four-word Sprint counting down, 10-second Bonus Sprint. I don't think the early version was ever in reruns, at least not when I was a kid.

I wish Buzzr could show it again. There must be some snag with the rights to the name. They're able to show its sister show, Sale of the Century.

Yep... that's what they do at least in the 1989 episodes I am watching.

They are bringing back Press Your Luck this summer which should be pretty good -- I saw a photo of the set and it looks pretty much like the original one, just more modern.

Hey, that looks pretty cool. I'm pleasantly surprised by how true to the old show it is, figured the whole board would just be run off one big video wall, you know?

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was a good game but it gave everyone the idea that game shows had to be dark and foreboding all the time. I'm glad we're embracing retro cheese again.
