Watched this the other day. Damn, talk about a depressing movie! I'm not even sure I ever saw it before. Likely will never again.

I almost never watch the same movie more than once but I've seen the Rocky movies dozens of times. Making my son a fan is arguably the best thing I've done as a father. You should sitdown and enjoy all of them. Even V has a place.

I was with you up to never seeing it again. It's a cinematic masterpiece, maybe one of the greatest of our times. I'd watch it again just for the Burgess Meredith scenes. If there was anything to complain about, it might be the unrealistic underdog story, a boxer going from out of shape to basically beating a champ in six weeks. Every time I watch it, I just can't help be amazed at the imagery of the industrial areas of Philadelphia married with a great soundtrack. Highly recommend watching it a few more times.
