Awesome movie based on a true story. Jodie Foster, Shailene Woodley, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tahar Rahim (from The Serpent). It was advertised on Amazon Prime a while ago to rent for $15 (probably when it was in theaters). Now it's $6 everywhere. However, this place called RedBox I forgot existed has it for $1.80. And if you're a T-Mobile customer or you get the occasional RedBox coupon email, it's practically a free rental.

I don't care for Cumberbatch's southern accent.

Have you ever read the theory that back to Revolutionary times people from the UK all spoke like US Southerners and they only took on their current “accent” because they were attempting to mimic the Royalty of the time?

Not sure if I have the exact details of that theory correct but I’ve always been fascinated by the concept.

I don't think they all sounded like a bunch of shitkickers but rather more like those islands near Norfolk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIZgw09CG9E

I think there were rhotic accents in parts of England well into the middle of the 20th century.

Simon Roper on youtube provides a thorough analysis and reenactment of english accents across regions and centuries. It can be incredibly interesting. You also question your existence when watching a guy interviewing himself in current english but responding in old english.

His work is pretty remarkable.
