Just watched it. Played some great roles in a couple of my favorites ( Heat & Tombstone). you don’t have to be a fan to enjoy this. I honestly wish everyone had a chance to distill their lives into a film like this to give everyone a chance to see who that person thought they were. He’s brutally honest and pulls no punches. I found it disarming and charming even though I kind of thought he was a Dick over the years. I found it to be a good watch.

Watched this last Sunday. Very good and well worth the time. I had forgotten how big he was in the business.

His best role was as Elvis in True Romance. I am interested in this. I even liked Fat Val. I thought the Salton Sea was pretty interesting. Have to give him credit for taking over the image of Jim Morrison. Jim being a pretty photographed guy and easily recognizable, he displaced him as the image somehow. John Densmore had too much influence over the film. On a complete off subject tirade, who makes a better Andy Warhol, Crispin Glover or David Bowie. I mean Bowie is the easy answer I guess but I always thought Crispin pulled off the creepiness way better. A nod to Evan Peters too in AHS.

Back to Val, I am interested in this and will watch. I hated him as a kid because my sister made me watch Top Gun all the time but learned to like him over time. I mean Top Secret was an amazing role.
