Just saw the Ahsoka teaser trailer...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnzNZ0Mdx4I

I just watched the entire Star Wars Rebels cartoon series over the past few months. Great series, much better than the bloated Clone Wars series.

Very happy to see that several key characters from Rebels are in the trailer. Sabeen, Herra....and CHOPPER! And to top it off, Thrawn!

No word on Ezra yet, but I wouldn't expect them to reveal that in the trailer.

Show comes out in August....I'm expecting it to be as good as anything Star Wars has come out with in the past few years. Right up there with Mando show.

Here are my ideas for these show's names :

Ah-so-kuh - The adventures of Gary

An-door - Blue Saturn

Man-duh-lore-e-an - Tales of the Bounty Hunters

Book of Boba Fett works for me.

This has a lot of potential and I completely agree with you that the Rebels series was better than the Clone Wars. I just read a three book series on Thrawn and couldn’t be more excited. He’s one of the most interesting characters in the Star Wars universe. I was thrilled to see Zeb show up on The Mandalorian two weeks ago. Still hoping there is some crossover in the last two Mando episodes.

Series launches August 23rd. Just started re-watching the last season of Clone Wars and will likely watch the last season of Rebels as well. Really enjoying the introduction of The Bad Batch right now.

Enjoyed the last season of The Clone Wars and now started up the last season of Rebels for the hell of it. Very fun to go back and check these out.

Latest trailer, still looks pretty good to me. I have 4 episodes left on my last season rewatch of the Rebels series and it still holds up very well.

Watched first two episodes yesterday. While slow at times I found it very enjoyable. Not sure how people who have never seen the Rebels series would like it. Most reviews were not very strong which was surprising to me. I think some people had ultra high expectations for it. Definitely sticking with this one and seems promising to me.

Episode 3 moves things along but still a bit slow and formulaic. Hoping things start heating up next week with only 5 episodes left.

Ok, episode 4 was the best of the bunch so far. Some nice battle scenes and we have now pushed the series ahead at the halfway point with some interesting story lines.

My wife was watching it while I was doing something so I'd stop for a few minutes to look. It seemed ok. Is that stuff on her head flesh or hair? Not many men on this show.

They are supposed be part of her head. Is anyone else keeping up with this show at all?

They seem to be writing these shows to try and reach an audience that doesn't really care that much about Star Wars. It's bizarre. Every show that isn't The Mandalorian adds in all these elements from a teenage high school drama.

I've actually liked it so far when it hasn't been ten minutes of women talking about feelings. The bad guys in this are mostly really good. Fight. Battle. Pew Pew. Kill the bad guys at the end. I don't need some allegory about women supporting women.

why does that general always have her hands behind her back? Is that supposed to be some thoughtful power stance?

The one scene I did really get to watch is at the space ship dry dock. Of course they had the very obviously jewish looking guy as selling out either side for money. They would be skewered if they stereotyped any other group that badly

The General is the worst character in this. She shows less emotion than the actual robots in the show.

You'd think being married to Obi-Wan would give her some charisma. It's better than Obi-Wan but worse that Andor, but then again 95% of shows are. It's like 2nd season of Mandalorian quality. Ahsoka is written/played too boring. Sure she's not the fun Padawan from Clone Wars and needs to be grizzled or something decades later, but it doesn't make it fun to watch. Chopper still rules.

I stopped watching after the space walk episode and flying whales. Gave it a shot even after the girl was fatally wounded with a lightsaber but somehow only spent a day recovering to full health.

The show is pretty dumb, but I will stick with it.

In episode four, the robot character insists that Ahsoka and Sabine stay together, and they seem to agree. They meet the bad guys and immediately fight separately. Then after one bad guy is killed, they split up again.

Sabine promised should she would stick to the script. But as soon as Ahsoka is knocked out, she hands the map to the bad guy when she was supposed to destroy it. And the bad guy lets her live. What bad guy ever keeps his promises?

The dialogue is pretty weak. The plot is okay, but nothing special. Oh and how did Sabine survive a light saber through her torso?

Watched Episode 5 this morning. It has been a bit of a frustrating show at times. The light saber and ship battles have been good but everything else has been on the weak side in my opinion. If we don't see Thrawn soon I'm going to be pissed. He is one of the better characters they've developed over the years but just never been in any live action shows.

Read a few articles yesterday about episode 5 from people that are way more into Star Wars than I am and was able to pick up a few things that I missed about the flashback scene. Anyway I re-watched last night and enjoyed the episode a bit more. Still think they needed to introduce Thrawn by now. I've heard he appears at the very end of the next episode. I will say that this past episode was shot very well, it is certainly pretty to watch.

I haven't watched but I'm getting updates from a Star Wars fan. I don't understand this witch character. Didn't she get her ass kicked in Mandalorian with little difficulty? Why is she so powerful now? From what I've heard the guy from Rome (RIP) is the best villain in the Disney era and they undercut him with this generic bullshit witch boss. They even make him act amazed by her incredible plot powers when he's a powerful force user.

Ahsoka is Gandalf now?

I never put two and two together that he was one of the main characters in Rome. His performance is one of the highlights of the show in my opinion.
