its a victim of its own success. It obviously has a bigger budget now for everything from casting to production to writing, and all of that has diminished the product. It really fit the series ethos to have it rough cut and jumpy. I also like that it is a starless production.

Enter Liam Neeson

Did he really provide something a nameless, more hungry actor could not? I think the main cast also saw that this was their last, best shot to show their abilities to a larger audience. They just seem so aware of themselves rather than the character.

Also, they have made curious choices behind their comedy, including a not comedic funeral of a very side character.

Anyway, it's gone. I would have been fine with 3 seasons and remembering it fondly rather than being happy it ended after 4.

I liked season 4. Was sorry to see the series come to an end.

I finished the season. It was just so strange and uneven. It was more of a comedic drama than a comedy. They heavily pushed a gay agenda, which you really don't see as much in european shows. The strangest thing was the inclusion of midgets in the last episode for no apparent reason. I'm sure they think they were doing something good but isn't it kind of insulting that they had one playing the role of a little kid making her first communion?

Oh, and don't get me started with shoehorning Chelsea Clinton into the last episode. I think I've voted four times for various Clintons and I really hated how that girl was treated publicly as a young kid. I guess her making big money in entertainment despite no talent is reparations. Otherwise, it was a pretty good ending, wrapping it up with a vote on the peace accords.

I like all of the actors in this but I don't know if we will ever be seeing them again. That woman who played Orla is brilliant at physical comedy. There is so much she does in the background of shots that is hilarious but would go unnoticed if you weren't watching.
