I didn't realize this was even in existence, until the Grammy nominations came out and blew up the social media witchhunters.
This is really outstanding stuff. He comes back where he left off, with hilarious outrageous takes that he's known for, and pretty much brushes off the past few years with jokes.
He's a true comedian in that he doesn't make his own personal life part of an apology or comeuppance parade. It's still mostly about his bits, and they are just as funny as when he was dominating the circuit.
If it weren't for the controversy, it'd be a slam dunk to nominate this. I'd still give the award to Chappelle but it'd be a tough choice.
Also, RIP to his mother.
