Realized as I was watching Last of Us that it's the exact same show as Mandolorian.

Same main actor who plays a loner tough guy who kicks ass but has a soft spot.

cute little sidekick who also kicks ass and but has added bonus of having special super powers

There is an overreaching plot about trying to get the side kick to a safe place.

Despite that carry over storyline, each episode is usually a self contained adventure.



Same exact show, just one has a zombie appocalpyse skin and one has a space adventure skin.

Well Joel is a violent monster and I don't think Mando is, but yeah they're similar.

It's a pretty basic story.

Seasons 2 and 3 of Last of Us should be more interesting.

Both of them started at same point. They were more than capable...even feared...then had periods where they were strangely inept to add drama even though it hurt the characters.
