i saw that this was getting trashed by reviews but honestly i thought it was a fun movie. even had a few big laughs. i guess i can see where people could call it overcooked and too many characters and storylines going on (and some going nowhere). but the film seemed to move along just fine, and the fanservice wasn't over the top.

the ex-wife storyline probably wasn't necessary at all but i didn't have a problem with anything to the point where it crushed the entertainment value.

i went in with very low expectations and wound up enjoying it for what it was. "beetlejuice" will always remain a uniquely odd comedy horror movie.
