I saw the new Hunter S. Thompson documentary tonight. Focused a lot on his career from it's begining in the late '60s throught the '70s.

I thought it was pretty good. They had a lot of interviews with his first wife, Sandi, his son Juan, and politicos like Pat Buchanan, Jimmy Cahtah, Gary Hart, his longtime employer/pal Jan Wenner and friend Ralph Steadman. It also had some great clips of Hunter.

It was pretty straightforward documentary, with some dramatizations and readings by Johnny Depp.

I'd give it :thumleft:

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Fear and Loathing is great. I try to catch it whenever it's on cable. Have you seen "where the buffalo roam?" with Bill Murray playing Hunter? I've heard mixed things about it, but would like to see it for myself.

I advise the books. Can't remember specific things about Buffalo Roam (been over 10 years since last seen it) but I recall mixed feelings too.
