The CBS drama "Cold Case" will use 16 Pearl Jam songs in the show's two-part May season finale. A number of the songs will be from the group's 1991 debut album, "Ten."

On May 3 and 10, the band's music will be used exclusively to tell the story of a female cadet who was murdered at a military academy in 2005. The case brings up difficult memories for Lilly Rush (Kathryn Morris), a detective with the Philadelphia Police Department.

"The breadth of the Pearl Jam catalog captures not only the spirit of alienated youth, but narrates that journey to adulthood and disillusionment and redemption," Jennifer Johnson, one of the show’s executive producer and the co-writer (with Greg Plageman) of the episodes, said in a statement. "It was the perfect accompaniment for Rush's origin story -- told in flashbacks -- of how and why she became the first female homicide detective in the PPD."

Which 16 Pearl Jam songs will be used has not yet been determined.

In the past, “Cold Case” has woven the music of a single artist through one episode, but this is the first time one band has been featured in two episodes. Other artists who have had their music spotlighted on the show include John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Tim McGraw, U2 and Bob Dylan.

Doenst make me have any more or less interest in watching Cold Case.

Is that the show that uses the phrase "un sub" every 2 minutes?
