I really don't watch movies, but remember seeing a scene perhaps 20 years ago (and I'd like to see the scene again). It was set in Egypt, and a man and child walked away from a car (leaving a woman behind). When they returned, she was dead, but had a remote control next to her body. They pressed the remote and her face melted.

Does anyone know what movie this was from? Probably something really famous...

I dont think your movie is on this list but my personal favorite is the toxic waste scene in Robocop.

Guess this wouldn't qualify as Sci-Fi but the face melting Nazi in
Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark wasn't too bad for being as
old a movie as it is.

Jason Voorhees had toxic waste splashed on his face his Friday the 13th part 8 and his face was melting...I'm trying to find a picture of it...or a youtube link...
