I don't remember this short story, but we're going to see the movie tonight. My wife keeps saying "I want to see this" every time the commercial plays, so I finally caved. It is Sweetest Day. I'm going in to it with an open mind, so we'll see. Although my last post in the suggestion thread says it all

I liked this movie; I think act two was a bit clunky and directionless, but it found itself and wound up being a nice little movie that i think parents and kids both could like.

i definitely could tell even the adults in the theatre were confused a bit during the movie, but a few kids clapped at the end.

the set up was a bit weak; the kid came off to me as more of a spoiled brat than a misunderstood nerd. but i think, because of how the character carol was, i think maybe that was on purpose. don't know but it wound up working in the end.

gandolfini was a nice surprise as a voice actor.

Forgot I posted this. I was waiting for the kid to wake up in a ditch and find out the whole thing was a dream after he ran away. It was pretty good though.
