that's the first thought I had, what a crock of shit, same goes for that lady talking to the people as she did her garbage truck route... But the other encounters seemed real... I'm excited to see the hooters episode next week.

My Wife & I said the exact same thing. Don't most company employees know what the CEO looks like? And what are the employees told is the reason that a camera & sound crew are following this "new guy" around? I like the show concept but I just cant buy into thinking none of these people know whats going on.

It's also painfully obvious that the producers scouted the employees to fine the ones with the stories. It was just too well set-up.

I saw the title for this show and thought it was going to be mob-related. When I saw the actual commericial I was very disappointed. Why would anyone want to watch this?

Compensation would be nice. The honorable Don Tiny had a nice graphic showing U.S. unemployment rates by county since Jan 2007. You want a job you do the shoot and smile purty.

They have a woman doing the job of three people, getting paid only one hourly rate, and they finally promote her, and pay her.

Then they hire the two necessary people that she was doing the work of. What kinda shit is that?

And a woman is not allowed to go to the bathroom in a real toilet for "productivity reasons?"

And the best one was the D-bag deducting two minutes for each minute late from lunch. Is that even legal?

Great episode. They are asking for a lawsuit of epic proportions by not firing manager Jimbo.

That was my first thought as well. My second thought was that Jimbo was almost certainly fired within two weeks of that incident. I'd be amazed if he was still with the company.

The show kind of pisses me off because the CEOs are just trying to pander. "I'm not like those other CEOs that don't know what the common person does. I pick up garbage! I understand you." Then at the end of the episode he comes in and distributes his largess to the little people, and everyone can say "I guess Hooters isn't so bad". It's free advertising for the company.

Meanwhile, they play on populist nonsense. People in suits don't work. They have no idea of anything going on in the real world. Etc. It makes for good television for people who are inclined to believe those things, but once again, the CEO is happy to show how "reformed" he is in order to advertise his company.

I thought it was funny that the top brass at Hooters all dress like slobs for on camera meetings, except for the woman. Even for a casual office, that was overly casual.

Saw this episode as well. Very surprised they kept ol' Jimbo as well.
I was also surprised that he stayed in the same general area for a
couple of his undercover opportunities. Maybe the managers of
the local establishments don't speak to one another. This show is
pretty far fetched in general. Nice that the CEO's are trying to do
something to improve policies and conditions but most of it is pretty
superficial. Just glad the Hooters guy didn't do something crazy like
change the wait staff dress code to pants and a turtleneck. I love
me the Hooters experience, including the food.

Latest company boss to be on the show was from 7-Eleven. This was a
good episode in my opinion. I happened to see this guy when he was on
Oprah a month ago so I knew what was going to happen. They edited
the program on network TV much differently than the clips they showed
on Oprah. Anyway, it was a hell of a nice thing for him to give the
delivery driver from Russia a franchise. The driver seemed like a real
genuine human being and very nice guy who appreciates the opportunity
to work in the United States. When he was on Oprah he explained that he
was a pretty important person in Russia ( chief of police I think ) but he
had to start all over when he came to America. This show is very superficial
and viewed at a very high, overview type level, but I still enjoy watching it.

This show gets more and more ridiculously staged each episode. This is without a doubt the most unbelievable crap on television today, maybe of all time.

Guy shows up and the white castel employee who wants to be a chef just happens to have a sample of his homemade salsa on hand which he just happens to share with some guy he just met. And earlier the regional manager decides to lay out all her frustrations with the company to the brand new guy who has been working there fora total of 15 minutes.

Get this shit off teh air already.

Good premise but every episode has been exactly the same.

1-Interview CEO
2-CEO is shocked at stupid stuff like waste management guy cleaning portapotties likes his job. And Hooters guy can't believe women think Hooters takes advantage of women - wow that's a shocker.
3-CEO gives way under generous gift to employees. "Wow you have a good attitude. We're going to start a task force to improve company moral and put you in charge". Big deal. I'd tell the CEO to jump off a building if that's all he's got. Or a 5k scholarship from a multimillion dollar company.
4-CEO gives a speech at the end no one cares about.

Whoever thought of this show should fire the producers and do something different. Using the same blueprint every week is dumb for this kind of show. Really LAZY producing.

I like it. Don't love it, but it's better than a lot of TV.
