This is a show that can get kind of addictive--but man its format is so eerie. It's very quiet, chilling stories underlined by a very minimalistic soundtrack and no narration. All narration is "captioned" amidst some photographed stills resembling the scene in which the event happened that the people survived.

Most of the shows revolve around women who are attacked; but there are some interesting and different ones:

A guy attacked by a grizzly bear.

A woman who survives an out of control escalator (Mitch Hedberg was WRONG!) that injured over 30 people in 2003 at a Colorado Rockies game. Her leg almost had to be amputated.

A couple survives a shark attack.

Stuff like that. But I think what I like is just how disturbing everything is presented; even in something as bizarre as a runaway escalator...the tone is so quiet, that makes it even more alarming and intriguing.

I don't watch it all the time but when I do I usually watch at least 2-3 episodes at a time.
