There used to be an old guy on PBS who used to paint outdoor scenes, like Bob Ross, but I remember him having a European accent of sorts. Does anyone remember who this is?

You are correct ... I can even kinda see the cat in my minds fading eye ... no, I have nothing helpful to add as far as who he was ... just chiming in to let you know I recall it as well ... maybe I'll research it later ... or some other time ... or never ... who the hell knows ...
