Got home 11 PM, ready for bed, flip this on , HBO and it is the coolest footage of any imbedded media I have seen.

You see how unwilling guys are to go into small huts looking for shooters. Which I totally understand! Not ripping them at all! Shooting and everyone scurries for any cover, including the camera guy.

Finding the dead guy with his fist around the rifle is pretty wild. Rig had set in!

I finally caught this last night. HBO's documeantaries are always top notch, and this one did not disappoint.

The interviews with soldiers were all very candid, and I am surprsied the milatary would even allow this documentary to be made. The new strategy is to protect civilians at all costs so the U.S. and Afghan forces can win over the local population, which puts a huge strain on our soldiers. The enemy is at times using children as shields to cross battlefields and forcing people to fight with them. There really will never be a way for our milatary to control this region. The second they leave an area, the taliban just comes back and resumes control.

Another thing that stood out is how the Afghan forces are treated by our milatary. The way they're spoken to is like they're dogs. We kick open the doors, and force them to run into all the homes. Soldiers are just berating them constantly. Telling them to sit, stay, im surprised no one offered a biscuit. Our country will never be able to train an efficient Afghan force. These people have had little to no education throughout their entire lives. Expecting them to learn the basics of combat and keep the peace is just not a realistic solution.
