Seeing it tomorrow, early afternoon. No doubt it will be the same movie, same plot...but if it is really funny, I'll be ok with it

Saw it today before the Bulls game. Its ok, don't expect much. Its basically the same movie as the first one, just not as funny.

Heard two reviews on the radio today within 5 minutes of each other. Both said it was exactly like the first movie, except it had none of the laughs.

Yeah, just got back from seeing it.

Eh, it was the same movie and I laughed hard 2-3 times, mostly chuckles at some other stuff.

I didn't expect much and I was rewarded for my low expectations.

I hope they make a 3rd one and have it be a darker comedy with real consequences like a some deaths and stuff...grisly shit. After which this series can be laid to rest.

My Daughter saw it last night at midnight & her review was almost the same word for word.

It's not as bad as Caddyshack 2 or Slapshot 2. I rank it up there with 'The League' as far as comedy goes.

It was good to see the Asian Matt Spiegel thumping the four string in the wedding band...

Stats overwhelmingly support the notion that sequels suck. Will wait until it hits itunes.

i own that movie. i wouldn't say it's underrated, but if peter berg would've put the right tone in it, it could've been one of the best black comedies ever made.

Saw it last night at Hollywood Blvd.
Maybe it's because you can drink while watching the movie but I thought it was great.
The audience laughed out load the entire movie - reminder booze involved.
The part where the monkey shows up was classic and disturbing.

If it's going to bother you that it's the same storyline................duh why would you go to see it.
If they make 5 more of these (no) they will all have the same concept.
They set up the situation - the party just starts and they cut to the next morning.

Maybe the key is having a few cocktails but I highly recommend it.

You must stay at the end to see the pics from the night before.

Saw it yesterday. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one, but it isn't as new or original. Galafanakanankis has some of the best lines/parts of this movie. My afternoon showing only had about 12 people in attendance, but everyone was laughing through it.

like the characters i don't remember what happened on that night in "the hangover"...as in...i don't remember much of the movie now. it's like vapor. it was funny, i think i remember opining...but it didn't stick with me.

maybe that was perfect for this sequel. i do recall some of the same things (does ed helms have to sing a song in each one?) but i honestly don't remember how he got the girl that he was marrying in this film in the first place.

that said, i did laugh. there were some big laughs, in fact. more than i remember from the first one. i think what helped was that the expectations were low for this one. nowhere to go but up. everybody raved about the first one, so when i saw that, i think i was a little underwhelmed.

i think the strongest thing about both movies is the premise because it is intriguing for them to have to retrace their steps. but the weakest is definitely the payoff for the end.

also i thought there could have been more done with the language barrier of being in thailand. they could've been anywhere, really.

overall, it's not terrible. it's not that good, and it's definitely not great. it is, however, a bit funnier than the first one. and it takes a few more risks. galifiniakis is still the best character; but in this, i actually cared more about what happened than in the first. probably because in the first one, we didn't ever get to know the groom, doug, at all throughout the movie. and so there wasn't a lot of investment to give. but in this, we do like stewart and we want to see him succeed. for that, this movie works a little better.

neither one knew when to end, though. both wore out their welcome.

I liked the movie. Zach G. steals the movie again. Camera images at the credits were funny too.

Franchise with another two or three sequels ahead. The Zach G. marriage movie will involve him being either Mormon or Muslim and having multiple wives.

Per the director, they are talking about a third and final to wrap it up, but the plot would be completely different. Which to me is a very curious decision -- why follow the same plot in episode #2, but then completely change for episode #3? Either go the same way every time or go different every time. But at this point it is more about the money than the lulz.

no. i gave it the equivalent of 2 1/2 stars. "swan" got 3. "swan" is a superior film but "hangover 2" does provide laughs. i did not recommend "hangover 2" and i did recommend "swan". see the difference?

i also disliked 2 of the biggest movies last year--"inception" and "the social network". so there.
