Premiers in an hour. This show has always been up and down for me. Sometimes it's absolutely brilliant, sometimes it's just too much of the same thing. Too complainey, too nebbish like...it's woody allen x1000 and overkill.

But I'm looking forward to seeing how this season plays out.

not very good. i liked the jewish lawyer vs. swede thing but again, a lot of the misunderstandings and larry screw ups are just nauseating.

and some of it was just...reaching. like the tampon thing with o'donnell's daughter.

Very disappointing first episode. I'm looking forward to Ricky Gervais being part of this season though. Hopefully it's for more than just an episode or two. It looks like the story of this season is going to be about Larry, Funkhowser, and possibly Jeff getting divorces.

honestly i'm pretty tired of gervais by now, so even that doesn't do anything for me. i may just stop watching if the next few episodes don't entice me.

i'm so goddamn sick of jeff's wife.

I'm not a fan of any of his movies, or his standup, but ever since I saw the show Extras, I thought he would be a perfect person to be on Curb. Him and Larry could have some legendary arguments.

I like the arguments with Richard Lewis. Just lost HBO. Not about to get it back for Larry.

I agree. Larry mailed in the opener. Easy Jewish jokes, stereotyping and a dumb plot.

The only scene that was kind funny was Larry teaching the girl scout.

Hopefully tonight's is better. I think Larry should write a lot of episodes where he's banging hot chicks.

It was better.

It's pretty clear. Larry is gonna hit the "race jokes" really hard this season.

I forget. Why did Larry stop banging the black women? How did that end?

I think it's hilarious that he's still living with Leon.

never thought the show was genius. Rarely watch it as appt TV, will watch if it is on, but get sick of it after 5 mins as it usually the same thing. Larry's big misunderstanding.

Ironically, as I think this is nothing special, I think Larry would agree with me.

Between True Blood and Entourage, will watch, but the show is just not that funny.

Talk about thinking his shit doesn't smell, this show had got worse and worse.

Last week's social assassin episode was good. I didn't care much for the first two shows of the season. For me this show has been mediocre since the season where Larry died and was going through the adoption thing.

Yeah, episodes 3 & 4 really picked up the season. Also liking the fact that Larry's dating hot chicks. Fuck Cheryl.

I really want this show to still be great, but it is just becoming so predictable. The season has been very disappointing so far. Maybe they should have just ended it after the Seinfeld Season.

Last week's episode with Gervais was pretty entertaining. Hopefully he shows up in a couple more. Maybe moving the show to New York for the rest of the season will help make it better.

I hope Gervais is in more as well. I think there are only 10 episodes this season so I hope they pick it up here.

I agree as well. Been quality material since then. I don't think we are going to see any great moments this year, but I am enjoying what we are getting. Nothing as good since you kill kyoto, but my expectations for this is that it will just run out this year.

I'm sure Larry beating that punk with a loaf of Italian bread is one for the record books.

Good episode last night. I'm not really sure why Leon had to show up, but any episode that features Rosie is usually good.

Agreed that was easily the best episode this season and one of the better ones I have seen in a long time.

wow great you guys are fans of the show, great to discuss the show here.

Big Curb fan, have every season that's out.

Season 8, current season, well as Larry would say................ehhhh.

I'm somewhat underwhelmed this year.

I guess it's they strayed away from the chemistry that made the show great in past seasons. no Cheryl, Suzie is way toned down, and Jeff is basically non-existent.

Larry getting laid every week to some different women is making the show un curb like. It's all about Larry now and not about the whole cast. In the past the situations Larry would get himself into seemed natural. And the whole season was cleverly linked together, meaning something in ep1 would come back in ep5 and ep 8. Now everything seems forced. Larry comes off as an a-hole trouble maker instead of the guy who just fell into a situation. the whole Larry as a social assassin isn't quite working with me.

But Love the show, there's nothing better than curb, but it's like they're just giving up right now and just throwing things out there that aren't really the same quality as the other seasons. the only episode this season that was worthy of being called Curb was Palestne Chicken. The others have been so so, not many laughs, just a chuckle here and there.

And who wants to see Larry smooching every episode to a different woman like this season. It's gross. It's like seeing Woody Allen smooching some woman.

This was a good episode. Best of the season. Funny and clever. Larry spent some time writing this one. Probably the top 5 in "Curb" history.

Only good thing left on this show is Larry busting Jeff's balls about Suzy.

The only thing that keeps this show from getting blasted as much as it should is its close proximity to Entourage. This show has gotten pretty bad over the last few years, but compared to Entourage this show looks like a work of art.

Pretty weak thus far this season. I keep wondering if the jokes were always this telegraphed and were the Seinfeld parallels as obvious in the earlier seasons of the show.
