Absolutely fantastic documentary (available on NetFlix Instant) detailing Danny Ledonne's RPG video game that allows you to play as the Columbine killers.

At first, yes; the idea sounds sickening and highly disturbing. Why would anyone want to play a video game based on that event? But it goes much deeper than that, and the game was lauded by numerous game developers as being one of the best ever created.

The film (which, admittingly, is highly biased as it is created by Ledonne) also details the backlash and public outcry that resulted from its release on the internet.

"Playing Columbine" shows more than what people find offensive or art; it also defines what video games are becoming and what the role they will serve as vehicles of storytelling, ultimately transforming into documentaries themselves.
