It seems hard to believe, but NBC News' own newsmagazine, "Dateline", is about to turn 20 years old. The newsmagazine that made correspondent Chris Hansen a household name with the ongoing "To Catch a Predator" investigation has recently covered a bunch of sensational crime stories. They are the kind of stories that not only attract viewers, but have also been rebroadcast & repackaged on MSNBC later on. When "Dateline" starts its 20th season Friday night at 8p, viewers will notice a new host/anchor on the "Peacock's" long-running newsmagazine. Yes, it's been 20 years...

NBC News has announced that veteran weekend anchor of "Today" and "NBC Nightly News" Lester Holt will assume the anchor chair on "Dateline" starting Friday. Holt will replace Ann Curry, who had hosted the show since 2005 and was named Meredith Vieira's replacement on NBC's morning news/talk franchise this past May. Chris Hansen, Josh Mankiewicz, Keith Morrison, Dennis Murphy & Hoda Kotb will continue as "Dateline" correspondents.
