definitely is "more of the same"; however, it's a great formula and it's great chemistry between these two. has that "gang's all here" feeling.

my one problem with both films, though, is that neither give you a chance to try and solve the mystery yourself. it's like buying someone a puzzzle, showing them the box, then solving it yourself and giving them the end result. it takes away some of the fun.

i think a lot of it has to do with how implausible a lot of what happens is...some of the ways things fall into place just aren't credible.

i'm also not a huge fan of the "i'll show you the entire fight play out before it happens" either. again, takes away the suspense. and this film could have been more exhilerating with that.

the climax is extremely unbelievable even if the final scene is amusing. they cheat like hell in this movie, and if it weren't for the fact that it was so damn adorable and fun, it'd be a huge failure.

credit the actors, not the writers, in this one.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

I thought this was average fare...lady thought it was one of the worst films she had ever seen...half the crowd gave it a round of applause when then credits rolled...so yeah, not sure who has it right or wrong in this case.

That's how I felt about the first one which I thought ran about 30 minutes too long. There was some clever scenes in the first movie but after awhile,I just wanted it to end.
More like a remake of "The Wild,Wild West" than Sherlock Holmes.

So are the original books.

Finally got around to seeing it the other day. Probably my favorite film from 2011. Loved the first, thought this one was even better. Can't wait for a third.
