Interesting movie. Nothing new as it is a blend of The Shining and Shutter Island.

A hazardous material removal contractor with a young family and failing business finds his ticket out of trouble with a contract to remove stuff asbestos from a shut down mental facility.

I thought they should have ended it more Shutter Island style with Gordon taking resoponsibiility for his actions. Instead, it is kind of an awkward explanation of either some kind of possession or the voice of insantiy.

you do realize this predated "shutter island" by almost a decade, right?

i saw it when it first came to DVD...i thought it was decent. but i didn't like the way it was shot. brad anderson was the second guy to use all digital and it just gave it a low budget TV movie feel to it.

some creepy atmospheric stuff though.

I didn't realize that. I saw it on Netflix and figured it was of recent vintage. I wondered how they had so many relatively big names for a movie that looked low budget.

yeah it came out in 2001 but it was a really small release...got a few good reviews but i think most people had the same thoughts we did.
