"piranha 3-D" was, for my money, one of the best remakes ever. it kept with the camp value of the original and while it was its own "spring break from hell", it had a LOT of laughs. the cameo by richard dreyfuss in the beginning as an homage to "jaws" was amusing; jerry o'connell was at his best since "can't hardly wait"; and it had a lot of fun with itself.

this one, as far as the trailer goes, looks like it may be a little too self aware. casting hasselhoff wasn't great, in my mind. it's obvious.

it was funny to see lloyd in the first one; but here it may go over the top.

i'd love for it to continue the so-bad-it's-good time that "piranha 3-D" had but i don't know...may be trying too hard here.
