What's the point of having Scarlett Johannsen in a movie and you never get to see her?

That's like paying a prostitute to give you blue balls.

What is the point of any woman if you can't see her?

That could probably be made into a great play but it's a snooze-fest of a movie.

I feel like it was trying to tell me something but maybe I couldn't hear it because of movie and it couldn't hear me because I'm deaf. Wait. Whatever the case, you get to hear a computer that sounds like ScarJo have an orgasm. Otherwise, eh.

I hear she is sexier than Hal in the movie.

Now knowing that the girl discussing the cat was Kristen Wiig, it kind of cracks me up. Might be the best part of the movie.

It would have made for a great and realistic comedic moment if the guy didn't care whether she had an orgasm once he nutted.

I was very moved by this movie...it's an excellent story. It's about love...attachment, detachment, letting go and acceptance. It's strange to say but...Johansson really delivers a great "voice" performance (not just for the ohscene). it's sad, somewhat, touching, very credible.

it's also an extremely well crafted statement about society in general, and where we are. olivia wilde is so goddamn hot...jesus christ.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

Eternal Sunshine is still the superior Spike Jonze quirky romantic comedy.

"Her" is not a romantic comedy.

It's the same genre as Eternal Sunshine. I would call both romantic comedies even though neither fits the usual Hollywood mold.

although neither are comedies, and each movie tells a different story and serves a different purpose.

Yawn. Aren't movies considered art, and isn't art subjective and meaningful to people in different ways?

Movie snobbery gets 0 of 4 stars.

well i have to be a snob about something. i thought of maybe being a table snob but it just wasn't that fun.

it just strikes me as demeaning to consider "eternal sunshine" and "her" rom-coms. i think of "forgetting sarah marshall" when i think of romantic comedies...and i refuse to broaden my scope of the subgenre. so there.
