Ever since the 1986 SuperBowl,I never watch pregame. I can't stand the endless babble and "puff" pieces. This year with patronizing a real life thug like Ray Lewis,I'm really staying away.

What do the rest of you do as far as pregame?

I used to watch all the pre game as a kid. Now, I flip it on just before kickoff after throwing down a small play on the coin flip

Even when the Packers were in it I didn't turn it on until a few seconds before the kick. The pre-game is bad on so many levels. The shittiest pop acts and their god awful top 40 songs. Cornball skits and all the fluff. Halftime is just as bad.

Nay

I kill time watching movies and playing Madden, followed by a drive to where I'm watching the game.

I've already started watching the pre-game show.

I will watch golf, and turn on CBS a few minutes before kickoff.

I think this will be my plan this year as well. My first Super Bowl watching it by myself this
year. I am actually looking forward to it. I usually miss a lot of the game when at a party
chatting with people or raiding the snacks.

Last year I caught up on a bunch of things on my DVR, and then turned the game on with about 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

I assume other sporting events take advantage of the audience?

I don't know how much pregame is REALLY necessary, even though CBS Sports has a lot of it planned Sunday. That now includes "CBS Evening News" anchor Scott Pelley going one-on-one with President Obama during pregame, I think that starts at 1P live from New Orleans.

not sure why the NBA went away from that...ABC used to have a 1/2pm game

now it's just a few regional games at noon that's it

I think it's been this way for many years now since ESPN/ABC supplanted NBC as the national TV home of the NBA. I think ABC will have some ESPN-produced NBA games on Sunday afternoons once the Super Bowl wraps in a week or two, but not every week.

I might pull out some WWE DVD's to entertain me pregame.
Love that mean Ultimate Warrior DVD.
