Had never seen it in the theater, so this was a good opportunity to correct that mistake. What I really enjoyed the most was the sound of all the dinosaurs...good stuff. But any time there was a dinosaur on the screen, you could tell this was a movie made twenty years ago...the animation seemed a bit off, like they were at a lower framerate than the rest of the picture...not sure if this has to do with the 3D conversion or that was how the original was all along and I just never noticed it only having seen it on TV, but it was pretty jarring at times.

I did see it in the theatre, but I was like 13 at the time. Neat to see it again. I was pretty impressed at how seamless the 3-d was. One day, I'll read up on how the fuck they do that, but it was a pretty neat trick. On a side note, I hadn't seen this in a while, and was surprised how many little things I hadn't noticed before. I guess when I come to think of it, I hadn't seen this in quite some time.

also keep in mind that theatres weren't digital back when this was in theatres. i saw it when it came out, and still think the book is 30 times better. but the dinosaurs are quite amazing and were 20 years ago. i don't know that i'll check this out because besides the soundtrack and dinosaurs, this film is pretty tepid. although goldblum is pretty entertaining.
