Was thinkng the same thing and I found out they get like $3000. Basically get paid per day, for appearance fee.

They did that XL one, when they got invited back. They get like $10-20K each for that one.

How much would you do it for? I think you'd be good on Survivor. One thing is for sure I'd suck ass in all theses shows.

This episode is kinda cool. It's been the opposite of what I'd think would happen.

Its the 'squitos....I am OK with the rest....19 nights of being bitten....makes me sick when I see them on TV. Feel like it almost ruins the survival part of making fire, shelter, hunting, etc

Maybe I could be the guy who brings the mosquito net....! I think you can bring 1 thing.

Your personal item could be a breathable bee keeper suit that you'd probably make. You are awesome.

I'm with you. I'm also one of the people that gets bit twice and then says okay, I'm going inside. I also can't be cold or hungry.

This. It's the bugs (mosquitos, flies, chiggers, sand gnats, whatever...) - BUT - you gotta account for dehydration/ diarrhea after a week or so too. They ain't crapping on a nice A/C toilet with fluffy TP.

I like the show, the bugs are relentless n transmit diseases..It would be better if they had clothes(1 outfit) shoes. They don't thrive, they just live off body fat for 21 days n hike out. I'd like to see em get paid real money and stay 6 months. Cameras mounted everywhere- no camera n sound crew.

Another problem I have with the show.......sometimes their "final task" is very simple.......................and sometimes it's like an 18-hour journey, through 2 gator infested swamps, across a canyon, and then down 5,000 feet in elevation.

If it were me..I'd hike 90% of the way to the extraction point the first 2 days..when you are strong n hydrated.
